Sarabel Paint & Wine

Turning a passion project into a business requires a mix of creativity, perseverance, and business skills. I had a clear vision for the project, and am actively learning how to monetize it and transform it into a sustainable business. Teaching art classes for 5 years, in many different settings and under many different circumstances has solidified my passion to bring people art.

The process of creating a business selling art classes requires a marketing strategy, building a website, creating a social media presence and constantly being flexible. As our business grows, it is vital to remain steadfast in our commitment to our core values and to cultivate lasting relationships with our customers and supporters.

Here are some tasks I’ve completed:

  • Completed a Squarespace store with Square integration to accept online payments

  • Designed, photographed and created graphics for the site

  • Created a brand asset page to create a consistent visual brand

  • Explored rental spaces and worked with business owners to find space for the event on an ongoing basis

  • Ran a marketing campaign, including physical flyers, social media posts and cold calling

  • Built a MailChimp email marketing campaign for new registrations, day-of email and post-event emails

  • Conducted post-event research via Google Forms

  • Taught a full art class, planning out inventory, cost-sheet, instructions and start-to-end customer experience
